Under section 3.11 of Chapter 3 of the Market Rules, a Market Participant ('MP') or Market Support Services Licensee ('MSSL') may seek compensation from the PSO or the EMC under the provisions listed in section 3.3.1.5 of Chapter 3 of the Market Rules. Where applicable, the Guidelines for Compensation published by the EMC are intended to assist an MP or MSSL to determine the compensation amount requested, as required under section 3.11.1.4 of Chapter 3 of the Market Rules. Unless otherwise stated, these guidelines are intended solely as a reference for stakeholders when determining compensation amounts payable by the PSO or the EMC.
The current Guidelines for Compensation suggests compensation formulae for the following scenarios listed in section 3.3.1.5 of Chapter 3 of the Market Rules:
