Senior Vice President, Market Administration

Veronica Rodriguez heads the Market Administration Unit which advises the Rules Change Panel through economic analysis and proposals to enhance efficiency in the wholesale electricity market. Prior to joining EMC, she worked for the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) as a Principal Economist. During her 8-year tenure at AEMO, she worked in the Markets’ Department where she was involved in leading energy market rule change processes. She also worked in the Energy Forecasting Department where she oversaw and project managed the National Energy Forecasting Project and the forecasting publications.

Veronica attended the Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela and earned her Bachelors' Degree in Economics. She also holds a Market Regulation Advanced Studies Diploma from the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración Business School. Before moving to Australia, she worked at the Reserve Bank of Venezuela as a Senior Economist in the International Research and Economic Studies Office.

Wang Jing joined EMC as an analyst in 2005. As part of the Market Administration Team, she is responsible for identifying areas of improvement in the NEMS and making recommendations to improve the market design. She received her B. E. in Electrical Engineering from Chongqing University of China, and her Ph.D in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.
