To register as a market participant, you must download, complete and submit this form to our office. This form contains explanatory notes and a checklist to help you complete the form.

There is a non-refundable market participant registration application fee for each application to register as a market participant.

With effect from 1 July 2018

The amount of registration fee payable to EMC upon submission of application form for Market Participant registration* is $7,115.50 before 1 Jan 2023; $7,182.00 effective 1 Jan 2023 comprising of:

a) EMC registration fee ($5,350.00 before 1 Jan 2023; $5,400.00 effective 1 Jan 2023)

b) PSO registration fee ($1,765.50 before 1 Jan 2023; $1,782.00 effective 1 Jan 2023)

*All fees are in Singapore dollars and are inclusive of the prevailing GST rate.

Please refer to EMC Budget and Fees  and PSO Budget and Fees respectively for the EMC and PSO fees that will be applicable to you as a market participant.

Under the Market Rules Chapter 7 Section 5.16.2, EMC is required to publish the name of the bank or financial institution ("clearing bank") at which EMC maintains its bank accounts. Under the Market Rules Chapter 7 Section 5.16.10, each market participant is required to open and maintain a market participant bank account at the clearing bank.

To participate as a Market Support Services Licensee, you must download, complete and submit this form to our office. This form contains explanatory notes and a checklist to help you complete the form.

If you hold more than one electricity license and, pursuant to those licenses, intend to perform different functions in the wholesale electricity market, you must submit separate applications for each function.
