EMC currently operates and maintains the systems scheduling and settling the market. These systems include the Market Clearing Engine, PowerBid, Settlements and the Trading Website and API. The following information is provided to help exisiting Market Participants and/or prospective participants interact with EMC's systems.

Market Systems Web Services / SOAP Interfaces: EMC provides Market Participants with the ability to automate the delivery and submission of Market Information between Market Participants Market Systems and EMC's Market Systems, using SOAP interfaces. 

At present, only a select number of interfaces have been developed, primarily for the purposes of offer submission and validation, as well as the retrieval of advisories information.  EMC intends to convert all API interfaces to SOAP interfaces over time, and any new interfaces will be implemented using SOAP.

This document explains how to access these web services, and defines the format of the services provided. Developers of Market Participant Applications may use this information to automate the download of data from the EMC Market Systems.

Market Systems API: There are two ways for Market Participants to access the results of market clearing and settlement runs in the EMC Market Systems; manually, through the Trading Website and programmatically through a public “Application Programmers’ Interface” (API), the Report Download API for Market Participant Applications.

This document explains how to access the services in the API, and defines the services it provides. Developers of Market Participant Applications may use this information to automate the download of data from the EMC Market Systems.

Trader Certificate Application Form: To apply for a digital certificate to be used for:

• Access the Trading Website
• Submitting Offers into the Market Systems

or for the registration of a new (or change of) IP address with EMC.

Please note that it is now possible to apply for a generic certificate that can be used for developed systems which interface with the Market Systems API or the Trading Website, or for other reasons with the consent of EMC.
