Dave Carlson Chief Executive Officer Dave Carlson joined EMC as its CEO in June 2006 after eight years with M-co, one of EMC’s shareholders. From November 2005, Dave had acted as interim COO, on a secondment basis from M-co, and gained a thorough understanding of EMC and the NEMS. He was actively involved in the establishment of EMC in 2001 and is very familiar with the market players as well as the development of EMC. Dave joined M-co in 1998 to position and lead the company’s strategy to diversify and internationalise its capabilities. He held a number of senior management roles, including the head of business development, and most recently managed M-co’s subsidiary in South Africa. Previously, Dave worked for 12 years in the financial services sector, where he held a number of senior corporate positions in sales, finance, marketing, strategy and corporate restructuring.

Angela Soeteber Vice President Communications Angela Soeteber heads the Communications team, which is responsible for the company’s wide range of internal and external communication and marketing activities, ranging from events and publications to research and corporate social responsibility activities. Prior to joining EMC in early 2005, she was with ABN AMRO Asia Pacific for nearly six years and instrumental in setting up the entire regional marketing function, most recently as Vice President, Marketing, Events & Sponsorships. Angela has international marketing and communication experience gained through her work in the financial services, media and IT industries in Europe and Asia for 15 years. Originally from Germany, Angela is bilingual in German and English, and holds a Masters degree from US and German universities.

Philip Yeo Vice President, Human Resources Philip Yeo is in charge of the various aspects of HR management and development. He has extensive HR management and development experience covering both the private and public sectors within the services and financial industries. His specialty is in the use of organisation development intervention tools to enhance the outcome of the various facets of HR in line with the Company’s focus. He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Social Science.
