A generation facility can be registered as:
- Commissioning Generation Facility (temporary registration for facility to undergo commissioning tests)
-
Generation Settlement Facility (GSF)
-
Generation Registered Facility (GRF)
If your generation facility has a nameplate rating of over 10MW, you should register it as a generation registered facility (GRF), which will be subject to dispatch by the Power System Operator (PSO). If its nameplate rating is over 1MW but below 10MW, you can choose to register it as a GRF if you want it to be subject to dispatch by the PSO, or as a generation settlement facility (GSF) if you do not want it to be subject to dispatch by the PSO.
To register your generation facility as a GRF, you first have to register it as a commissioning generation facility (CGF) to undergo commissioning tests. CGF registration is an interim arrangement that expires upon completion of the commissioning tests. You must download, complete and submit the Application Form for Commissioning Facility Registration. The form contains explanatory notes and a checklist to help you complete the form. It also contains a separate form detailing the requirements of the PSO. For further information, refer to Chapter 2 of the Singapore Electricity Market Rules.
